PSE Launches Corporate Website

Port Klang: Port Shipyard & Engineering Sdn Bhd (PSE) is proud to announce the launch of its brand new corporate website. The design is focused on a clean and professional look with user-friendly navigation.

“The new website is just the beginning of PSE’s strategic plan to establish itself as a renowned world class shipyard”, said Abdul Hamid Nor, Chairman of PSE.

The website shall be utilized as a crucial communication tool, containing corporate information and a record of past and current projects undertaken by the company.

“16 years experience of shipbuilding and repair surely means a lot,… and it’s about time we make ourselves known to the world”, added Chuah Chong Wah, Managing Director.

PSE Appoints New Chairman

Port Klang: Port Shipyard & Engineering Sdn Bhd (PSE) is delighted to announce the appointment of its new Executive Chairman, En Abdul Hamid Nor, taking up position in September 2009 following the resignation of his predecessor, Dato Ibrahim Kam after over than 15 years of service as Chairman to PSE.

En Hamid Nor, presently a businessman who holds a post-graduate in Masters of Commerce from Waseda University Japan, a holder of BA from University Malaysia and Diploma of Modern Japanese Economy from University of Hiroshima Japan, has a keen interest in the marine industry and property development in addition to having a strong track record in managing ventures and new business developments via his own company, Intime Sdn Bhd.

As Executive Chairman of the company, En Hamid Nor major concerns will focus on the strategic planning and restructuring of PSE operations. His goals include turning PSE around into a world-class shipyard, fully equipped with technologically modern equipment & facilities for shipbuilding and ship repair activities.

Implementing winning strategies together with a skilled workforce and modern facilities will greatly increase PSE’s capacity for new builds and repair jobs at their 10-acre shipyard in Kampung Pendamar, near Port Klang.

Hung Hao International Ltd Appoints Port Shipyard & Engineering Sdn Bhd as Distribution Agent

Guangzhou, China: Hung Hao International Ltd (HHIL), a government linked company in China recently appointed Port Shipyard & Engineering Sdn Bhd (PSE) as Distribution Agent in Malaysia for the supply of the following:

  1. Specialized marine products for usage of shipbuilding and repair, onshore & offshore installations
  2. Marine cranes inclusive of sea, shore and offshore installations
  3. Marine transportation including floating docks, barges, anchor handlers, supply vessels, harbour tugs, etc
  4. New & used marine equipment
  5. Steel material such as steel plates, pipes, angle bars, etc.

The appointment is a significant landmark for PSE who since 1992 has been actively involved in the new construction of various types of vessels including harbour tugboats, supply vessels, barges, marine structures, aluminium superstructures, ferries, etc. The appointment has also enabled PSE to diversify its business activities to include trading of steel material within Malaysia.

Initial meetings between Mr Jacky Gao, Managing Director HHIL and Directors of PSE has always been conducive and cooperative in laying a solid foundation for future cooperation. Both sides are extremely optimistic of this new development and are already planning for larger scale projects to cooperate together in.
